Command .lock — Character Protection

Protect your in-game valuables before giving another person access to your character

The .lock command enables character protection and restricts actions that could be used to transfer or lose in-game valuables. The restrictions remain active until the character is unlocked.

Once protection is enabled, you can give another person access to your character without worrying about the safety of your items. However, your .lock password must be kept secret.

What Changes When Protection Is Enabled

Unavailable

• Dropping items on the ground.
• Depositing items in any warehouse.
• Withdrawing items from any warehouse.
• Transferring items to another character through trade.
• Buying or selling items through other players’ private stores.
• Crafting items through a workshop.
• Opening a private store to buy or sell items.
• Attacking a non-flagged character in a normal zone.

Available

• Picking up items.
• Opening a workshop to craft items.
• Attacking characters in a combat zone.

How to Enable and Disable Protection

1. Set a passwordEnter .setlockpw your_password in the chat. The password must contain 4 to 8 characters. Example: .setlockpw 1234.
2. Lock the characterEnter .lock your_password. Example: .lock 1234.
3. Disable protectionEnter .unlock your_password. Example: .unlock 1234.

Important

Never share your protection password. If in-game valuables are stolen because the password was shared with a third party, the items will not be returned.

Do not lose your password, and keep it in a safe place. If the password is lost, it can be restored through the Support Service. Password recovery is a paid service.
