Various aspects of the Lu4 concept that are good to know for a more informed approach to the game.

  • Fatigue System:
    • Character fatigue is an experience gain limitation system that reduces the experience rate down to 10% after reaching a certain amount of EXP gained per day:
      • Key features:
        • After gaining a certain amount of experience within 24 hours, fatigue activates and EXP rates drop to 10% of base values:
          • A "Tired" character receives the full experience penalty upon death in PvE and PK, but a reduced death penalty in PvP (0.1%);
          • The experience limit resets every day at 6:30 AM server time;
          • Important! Unclaimed experience accumulates over time, meaning you don't have to reach the limit every day.
        • At low rates, it is possible to "break the cap" — that is, to gain experience beyond the limit by passing certain fatigue stages. This allows continued progression, but slower;
        • The reduction affects only experience gain. Drops, quests, in-game rewards, and other aspects remain unchanged;
        • The system is designed to equalize chances between players with high and low online time, while still allowing active players to pull ahead through effort and smart activity management.

  • Experience Gain in Groups:
    • In Interlude chronicles, you received 19.11% of full experience for killing a mob in a group:
      • For example, killing a golem in Cruma solo would give you 1000 experience, but in a group — 191.
    • In High Five, this number increased to 24.44% of full experience for killing a mob:
      • Solo — 1000 experience, in group — 244 experience.
    • For Lu4 and MasterWork, we not only increased this percentage. Now it is 30.00% of full experience for killing a mob:
      • Solo — 1000 experience, in group — 300 experience:
        • 2 characters 110% (+10% bonus) 1100 experience, 550 per character
          3 characters 125% (+25% bonus) 1250 experience, 416 per character
          4 characters 140% (+40% bonus) 1400 experience, 350 per character
          5 characters 150% (+50% bonus) 1500 experience, 300 per character
          6 characters 180% (+80% bonus) 1800 experience, 300 per character
          7 characters 210% (+110% bonus) 2100 experience, 300 per character
          8 characters 240% (+140% bonus) 2400 experience, 300 per character
          9 characters 270% (+170% bonus) 2700 experience, 300 per character
      • We also removed the dependency on the number of players in the group. Starting from 5 up to 9 players, you will receive the same amount of experience — 30.00%. Of course, you can keep farming solo to get the full 100% experience, but solo killing speed will be significantly lower than farming in a group. Getting a third of the experience but killing mobs 5–7 times faster means you will level up much quicker. Therefore, we recommend finding a stable group before the start or gathering/joining groups in-game for faster leveling.
      • In addition to the experience system, we added a quest item distribution system for all group members. Now you can even complete class transfer quests while in a party, and all members will receive quest items in full.
    • Experience and Drop/Spoil Penalty Table Based on Character and Mob Levels:

  • Experience Table and Leveling:
    • One of the goals of this launch is to evenly test the technical stability and gameplay mechanics currently implemented in the Lu4 client. To maintain the required pace of progression, we changed the amount of experience needed for certain levels. Mostly the changes affect high levels. Details below:
      • Required experience up to level 16 remains unchanged;
      • Levels 16-19 received a fixed multiplier of 1.75;
      • For levels 20 and above, the required experience has been increased according to a formula, gradually rising proportionally to level growth:
        • Level Old XP New XP Multiplier
          20 188k 376k ×2.0
          40 1.7M 4.3M ×2.5
          52 6.1M 20.1M ×3.3
          58 11.8M 44.8M ×3.8
          60 19.8M 79.2M ×4.0

  • Professions:
    • To obtain the first and second professions, you need to complete the standard quest:
      • Detailed instructions for completing professions can be found in our Wiki;
      • Pay attention!
        • Profession quests can now be completed in a group. Quest items will be received by all players.
      • Quests for the first profession:
        • Adena has been removed from the rewards;
        • Quests can be completed between levels 18 and 25;
        • Added to rewards image.png weapon upgrade coupon, which allows exchanging Top-NG weapons for Low-D;
        • After reaching level 25, you will receive 0 experience as a quest reward.
      • To obtain the 2nd profession, 3 marks are required:
        • Marks can be obtained by the standard method, completing quests:
          • Adena has been removed from the rewards;
          • Quests can be completed from level 35.
        • Or purchased from NPC for Adena:
          • 1st mark — 1 000 000 etc_adena_i00.pngAdena;
          • 2nd mark — 1 000 000 etc_adena_i00.pngAdena;
          • 3rd mark — 1 000 000 etc_adena_i00.pngAdena;
        • Also, the 2nd profession can be purchased for 2 500 000 etc_adena_i00.pngAdena.

  • Buffs and Newbie Guide:
    • Unlike Masterwork, self-buffs play an important role here. Previously, a buffer was an optional but useful part of a group. However, now the situation is different — buffers are needed from the very beginning of the game: they provide shields starting at level 1 and perform other important group support functions;
    • Pay attention!
      • The usual club buffs, cocktails, scrolls, and similar enhancements are not available in the game. Only consumable potions from regular shops are available — Mammon and his goods are not yet in the game.
    • In the future, an NPC buffer will appear in the game, but its assortment will be very limited. The list of available buffs will be published later. We recommend that you prepare in advance by having important support classes in your group.

  • Professions:
    • Marks for the second profession are sold only for Adena:
      • One mark costs 1 000 000 etc_adena_i00.pngAdena, the entire profession at once — 2 500 000 etc_adena_i00.pngAdena.
    • The first profession is available exclusively through a quest.
