Some tell scary stories. Others create things that hide evil within...

Celebrate Halloween with a touch of creativity: write a story about your character giving in to the temptation to open a scroll and unleashing evil, or make a themed creation by hand. Choose whichever inspires you, or enter both categories.

This contest is open exclusively to players on the Lu4 (Liberta Ultimata) servers.

Participation rules

THE MAIN RULE

Awaken evil. Keep AI asleep.

You must state which server you play on when submitting each entry. This applies to both categories: if you submit multiple entries, include your server in every submission.

The use of artificial intelligence in any form is prohibited in both contest categories.

The writing, artwork, idea and execution must all be your own. AI generation, refinement, editing and any other use of AI are prohibited.

Ask the dark forces for help if you wish. AI is off limits. Entries that clearly use AI will be disqualified and will receive no rewards.

Two categories — one participant

You may enter both categories: with a story and a handmade creation.
Both entries will be considered.

However, each participant receives only one gift code containing the participation rewards, regardless of the categories entered. You may win a prize in only one of the two categories: either for your story or for your handmade creation.

Scary Stories

Required story theme: “The Mysterious Scroll”

What did you set free?

Your character gave in to the temptation to open a mysterious scroll — and SOMETHING imprisoned within escaped. What happened that Halloween night?

What to do?

Write a short story about the evil your character unleashed and the consequences they had to face.

Let your imagination run wild! Your story must be your own work, engaging and not too long, with all events taking place in the world of the game we all love.

Story submission rules

You must state which server you play on when submitting each entry.
Your story must be submitted as written text. Include at least one themed screenshot of your choice that captures the atmosphere of your story. You may illustrate its events with a series of screenshots or a collage, but images must supplement the text rather than replace it.

Handmade Halloween

Creation theme: any subject that captures the Halloween atmosphere

Not every scary story lives on paper. Some can be sculpted, sewn, drawn — or even baked!

What to do?

Create something unique on any subject, but be sure to capture the spirit of Halloween. A themed cake, figurine, mask, decoration, in-game item or drawing — choose any idea and materials you like. The essential requirement is that you make it yourself by hand.

Show how your creation comes to life

You must state which server you play on when submitting each entry.
We accept both drawings on paper and digital artwork you create yourself in Photoshop or other drawing programs. AI use, including these programs’ generative features, is prohibited.
For physical creations: include 2–3 photos showing intermediate stages. Each photo must show your work in front of a screen displaying your character on a Lu4 server.
For digital artwork, you must show the creation process. Choose any clear format: progress screenshots, a screen recording, a timelapse or another visual method. The materials must show how the artwork was created and demonstrate that you drew it yourself rather than generating it with AI. These materials replace the intermediate-stage photos required for physical creations.
You must still include both progress screenshots and photos taken with your phone: open your artwork in the drawing program alongside the game with your Lu4 character on the same monitor, with both windows visible in the photo.
Show the finished work: for a physical creation, provide a separate photo next to a screen showing the same character; for digital artwork, provide the finished image and a photo of your monitor showing the artwork in the drawing program alongside the game with that same character.
Your photos must show the words “Halloween 2026”, handwritten by you on a piece of paper or another material next to your work or monitor. Printed text and digital text overlaid on the photo are not accepted.

Your character must be visible in the photo together with your work. You may hide your character’s name, and you do not need to photograph yourself.

Each participant whose entry meets the contest requirements will receive one gift code containing the participation rewards.
Only one gift code will be issued, even if you enter both categories.

Please note: all entries will be reviewed. Stories without screenshots, handmade creations without the required process and final-result photos, and entries that fail to meet the requirements or show only a token effort will not receive rewards.

Remember: the administration’s opinion may differ from that of the players, but we strive to judge all entries objectively.
